More helpful than Yondu was being. He couldn't threaten, badger, or attack anyone into realization which would be his go-to under normal circumstances. But he's surrounded by teenagers and the only thing actually stopping him from doing it isn't giving a damn about these people, it's if he botches this whole thing these kids could suffer because of it.

He gets to some councilwoman and crew outside what looks like a half rubble, half-functioning shopping district that they're not even noticing is damaged, discussing... something, hell if he's going to take the time to find out, with a group of others with some map folded out across a table. Then he turns to Yoite, gestures up to his face to indicate he's going to say something, and points to the table.
"Alright, I'm gonna go say somethin' to 'em, alright? What kind of signal would you want for you to do the thing?"
