"I don't know what you did so I don't know how bad things are, but nobody stays mad forever. Things can be fixed even if they seem like they're really bad." There's a pause. "Have you apologized to them? Maybe saying sorry isn't gonna do a lot since you're here and they're there, but at least then they know."

There's an innocence on her face, someone who'd only seen the good highlights of the world, very rarely the bad. She'd been told of the face of war, but never shown it.

The punch on the shoulder makes her giggle and she playfully pushes him back. The small shove is firm enough that it's clear that she has quite a bit of strength to her - she could take much more than a playful punch - but she knew just how to use it, too, as she matches the force of his punch in her shove.

"I won't let him get off so easy. If I have to I'll pull out one of the lectures I've had to give to the kids about talking about feelings instead of fighting and being mean."

Her gaze lifted to the mushroom caps, the spots of void in the small windows between. She wanted to pull her knees to her chest and hug them and rest her chin on her knees, but she knew that with a dress the length she was wearing that wasn't really an option.

"I mean... It's okay. I can at least tell everyone I'm safe and I'm making friends and I'm helping and making a difference. I know both of my moms and my dad and my sister would be proud, though I imagine Xahqoh and Ahweh'a probably miss me something awful." She really only needed to send rocks to all that she mentioned, but she sent so many more. Pouring all of her feeling into them. For each parent she sent multiple rocks, a mixed bag of feelings and love.

"But, yeah, I guess you're right. I miss snuggling with the kids. I miss training with dad. I miss hugs a lot."
