That the other gods don't want to be around him. "Most of the time it will only be if we're in the same area. And never for very long. They don't seek me out, generally."
That's fine by him. Thanatos knows how things are, and he'd rather do his job in peace. It has the added benefit of not incurring Hades's anger for speaking with his relatives.
