Even if Feanor wasn't sure who either of them was, at least Renee had dispensed her duty to Tony by asking. She might not like the answers, really, if the elder elf did not know, but she'd tried.

The elderly ladies are not very happy to be muck spattered and caught in bits of the landslide, but Renee's patient. Her wizarding claim works well here too, even if her powers don't precisely allow for what the elders consider as actual magic, but "I'm still learning!" seems to mollify them, at least. They are being rescued, and that's the important thing.

But even with Feanor's admonition to forget the cattle, if there's livestock she can rescue after most of the people are safe? Renee's going to rescue critters. Why? She may not have been a farm girl herself, but she really had lived close enough to farm country when she was smaller. These animals are these people's livelihoods, and if they've lost a lot in battle, they'll need every cow or chicken they have.
