happyends: (my loving heart lost in the dark)

It shouldn't feel as a relief to have him by his side, Madoka thinks. It's not fair towards the people here, floating around, completely dead. No matter whether they're real or not, it feels like she's blemishing their memory by feeling so glad and relieved while they're still right there, staring at nothing with dead eyes.

But she can't help it. This whole situation is scary enough that of course Madoka is going to feel relieved at the presence of one of the adults she knows she can count on, no matter what.

And so, once Yondu pulls her closer and his coat falls around her, Madoka only tightly clings back to him, like it's the only semblance of safety she can find in the middle of all of this.

She doesn't really dare to look back at all the other people, though she's trying to keep herself from burying her face against Yondu as well.

"Really..?" It's not like Madoka knows what happens when you die out in space, though she assumed it wasn't great.

Seems like she was right.

".. It seems.. so sad. And lonely."
