It doesn't feel right. Madoka isn't sure what it is, at first, when this whole situation just plainly doesn't feel right, but then she realises what specifically is bugging her. It's those words he's saying - that he's going to do his best to keep it together for her.

That's not fair. This is his awful memory. He's not the one who should be keeping it together for her.

She should be the one helping him.

So Madoka shakes her head. She waits until they're at least mostly on the other side of all the bodies, but then she stops walking, even moving so she's in his way and he can notice she's stopped walking.

"Mister Yondu.."

Look at those big eyes she's staring up at him with.

But they're determined big eyes.

"It's okay.. You don't have to do anything for me. If you're sad, or if you're hurt.. You can show it. You can tell me."

He doesn't have to keep it all in for her sake. That'd hurt her more than help her, really.

"I want to be there for you too. I.. I know I'm still young, but.. I care for you a lot, mister Yondu. I can be dependable too if I try. And I want to try for you."
