At whatever illusionary border of transport they stand in front of, the scene would be the same. They stand on a road, seeing before them a mass wall of power. People walk into it and out, while some, for whatever reason, linger inside longer. Voidtreckers themselves would have to transverse it to travel around the city.

It is part of a wall, a border, that rings around many points. Even those outside the city they can access, people can be seen, lingering. Why are they there? Theories can be made. But, for now, we address the border point in question.

On the count of three, they make their attacks. Strong dispelling magics, some not as strong as the others, but still, they come for the border before them. To onlookers, they were a group of people, odd - standing there in the middle of the road. Weird, but would you call them suspicious? When there wasn't anything in front of them; nothing, anyway, of particular note.

But then they call their spells, worrying people on the street, gasps, perhaps the start of a shout - but then they see it. The spells hit something. It seems to hit...reality, as reality ripples, and a tear begins to form, to spread where they make their assault. It spreads out, nothing but the same mess of colours that currently intrude in the sky becoming visible.

People scream, in shock, in confusion. For our group, they may notice the illusion trying to stitch itself back up, but their magic is pushing at it back. Will it be enough though? To make a permanent dent in a wall so big. But perhaps it will be plenty to send a message of their anger, of their resolve to fight back.

And their efforts are widening the crack, exposing the rainbow, some faint figures of the people within even to those around them...
