He's honestly used to people arguing with him when it comes to their treatment; this is nothing new. "Or you can take five minutes to rest and let the magic settle," he says flatly, in a way that very clearly implies that Jingyi will indeed be taking those five minutes if Ryo has anything to say about it. He'll be fine if he goes off now; he'll be better if he takes those few minutes (or longer, but Ryo can compromise).

That said, he does listen to what Jingyi and the teenagers have to say. The city center being stable doesn't help if the barriers themselves are trapping people. "You said you've been pulling people out - are you able to make it through yourself?"
