The tendril had caused him to drop the shield. Zelgadis spotted Danny up in the sky, and cast his own flight spell to get the boy away from the cyclone. Hopefully the currents of air wrapped around him would disrupt the entity's own winds.

"Stop making this all our problem," Zelgadis growled. "It's not a competition of 'who can be the most miserable'." And maybe if this thing was so certain it's doom would lead to oblivion, it could get right on that, but he had the good sense to not say that aloud. "At least when I run into demon lords, the 'destroy everything' makes some sense for motivation."
