"Huh." Anything else he would have said is cut off by a yelp as he's dragged behind cover; had he the skills and power he had before amnesia struck he could well be one of those heros fighting that thing! But so much has been forgotten, and he's quite content to do a bit of hiding and not push his luck.
Small monsters he can handle.
But the name remains the same - Murphy is still Murphy, even if he seems to have a higher capacity for violence than Xehanort remembered from his 'father'.. and maybe more strength to go with it. "...Yes. Yes it was." An awesome few days. His gaze shifts away, to scan for nearby threats he actually CAN deal with, shaking bits of gore off his chosen 'weapon'.
If he had his way he'd go back to it. But that's not possible, is it? "I ... don't recall having parents, beyond this illusion." The admittance is reluctant, as if it's somehow shameful. 'Had a daughter' sounded like.. past tense. It all did. "I don't know what it's like to be a father.. or lose a daughter." He's assuming but that's what it SOUNDS like to him-- "But I think maybe keeping the illusion might have been kinder." A new life, with a new family, unstuck from the tragedy of losing kin!
"...No offense meant." It seems deliberate, the way he steps out of hiding just in time to lure the attention of one of the smaller monstrosities slinking about. And with its attention fully on him, an ambush might be incredibly easy.
