The instant he starts seeing that Spirit Bomb fly Vegeta drops playing bodyguard, a blast of ki out as a final push to get any lingering tendrils away from him before leaving Goku's side. He can take care of himself now. Instead he focuses on those with them, those that might be in trouble. Vegeta had spotted some during that game of defense, having wanted to go and get them but resisted in hopes the Spirit Bomb would do it's job and end this all. But now he's free of that responsibility, and he can see someone getting pulled in.

Dropping to the ground in an instant, he races forward and grabs up Kiyoiri in one arm, sweeping her back behind him as he brings his other hand up and lets out a ki blast in the direction of that cyclone. "Focus, here and now." He snaps out to Kiyoiri. "Whatever it's telling you is just lies."
