It looks rather ominous. "Think of it like licking a battery. If you get shocked, the battery's alive. Apply darkness to a heart, and there's always a reaction as it stirs up their own buried darkness--"

Except there does seem to be an immediate, obvious reaction - the wisps of shadow he applies are immediately magnified tenfold in a brief storm of blackness, and he jerks his hand back with a scowl, shaking it as if he'd been burnt. Or shocked. The shadow winks out instantly. "So this person is just crazy, not an illusion." Which means saving them. Ugh. "I guess the belt will have to do."
Which is promptly removed; his pants stay where they are thankfully. Belts can be used like handcuffs right? "..You know how to make handcuffs out of these or should I just try my best?"
