Given Little Ghost's make up, their hand is cool to the touch, and they seem to float on the top of the water. Their hollow body makes it hard for them to sink. They start to swim across the water.

The colors swirling around them turn orange, settling as mist or congealing into gooey blobs. Before their eyes infected insects share that orange glow, and they are aggressive. They attack the uninfected who happen to wander into ruined and empty cities. The husks and shells of the dead litter the streets. Sometimes small, white, magical circles floating like strange snowflakes in the air.

However, Little Ghost doesn't seem to react the changes. They keep going forward as long as Taiki does. Yes, this is the normal world they see back home.
