The mission. Yes, that was what being a part of The Octraian Military was about, and that was what was needed when Inkopolis was being threatened by the NILS Statue. Moving forward was easy when the hopes and dreams of a brighter future was in sight, but on the train the path ahead seemed so distant indeed.
Eight couldn't help but admire Agent 3's persistence and valor. In every way she was the hero Eight thought she would be. Looking Three in the eyes, Eight managed a confident nod. Perhaps there was a reason she was on the train, and Three wasn't. Perhaps there was something she could still do to help Caleb, and Inigo, and Essek, and Senku, and Gen, and everyone else that was onboard the train. That thought gave her a bit of courage she was lacking during those long days drifting out in the void. She was going to miss Three, but knew it was time to say goodbye.
"You're right. I was just being silly." Taking a few steps, Eight laughed through painful gasps, "H-Hey Agent 3. Do you... remember the theme of that Heavenly Melody?"
