"Alright, what's he look like?" There's... a lot of chaos. And he'd lift her up (he was a telekenetic in this world) but y'know it'd be... Alright, it'd be a little funny if a giant imported bird came and picked her off? In that way the Liberty Bell killing a bunch of zombies was funny. But it'd also be terrible and he's kind of endeared to the blatant violence in this child.

So he probably shouldn't take the risk to help find her dad. But he'll help her look.
