As Potato slumbers, she will be protected, as the energy taken also gives the Forever One added strength. While They cannot put all their attention into Potato, they keep the place warm, and try to sense out any other foreign energies, to ping for anyone close to the island to visit this way.

Whether or not it helps to get attention, it's an added help. Hopefully, Potato will find friends - or, her new one right here can attempt to aid her, once she's had her rest.
