Elidibus isn't having the best time either but he's fortunate. Between the SCA and having a host body, he has several layers of insulation against the immediate effects. He is also ancient and experienced, and is fairly powerful. Yet by no means is he unaffected; it just takes a bit longer for things to set in. The world is taxing him in ways that simply have not been experienced. At least not in a very long time.
He almost finds it a pity that the circumstances don't permit him to enjoy more of the challenge to adapt.
"I will attempt to steer us through them. I find these markers no more pleasant than your companion," Elidibus offers. He glances toward Kiyoiri for a moment before returning his attention to the surroundings. His eyes are constantly searching, his senses, all of them, observing, analyzing, attempting to sort through the foreign aether.
"Pray inform me if it becomes too much to bear for either of you. I would rather you remain aware of your limits, instead of attempting to foolishly match mine."
...Yes. It does come across as arrogant. But one thing Kiyoiri has probably learned about Elidibus this mission is that he doesn't intend it condescendingly. It wouldn't do any of the three good to have one of their group become compromised because they decided not to speak up when they needed rest or had a problem.
To his credit, whatever the extent of his power or his view of the others, Elidibus accepts Kiyoiri and Takechirou's presence as part of a group working toward a common goal. He does not dismiss their aid or input.
"What have you observed so far of the markers? This village and the presense within?"
While they make their way toward the partially opened gate, Elidibus is not just keeping track of the markers. He's attempting to establish how they work and what they're for. The Ascian pauses and frowns.
Then he looks to Kiyoiri again. "Is there anything you wish to prepare before we enter?" On his part, he's making sure the sword is loose in its sheath and his shield is likewise able to be readied at a moment's notice.
