Wei Wuxian focusses on snipping at any of the birds managing to get past the overall song with his own playing, having had to brace himself on cue. Wings tumble and one bird veers directly into another, sending both falling toward the large bird (time bomb) beneath, on the ground, where he hopes everyone is watching each other's backs.

He keeps an eye out for Buttercup, Xue Yang, and then Jake when he first goes over in a gust--ready to move to catch and pull any of those three back on board, should the winds catch them off guard or the ship lurch in a way that sends one of them flying.
