Nell nodded, understanding what he was saying. She could understand people who weren't necessarily 'good' and yet lived by a code.
She smiled gently at him. "I have days when a stray breeze can just about knock the wind out of me myself. Make me wonder what the point of it all is. Still we keep going on, don't we?"
The sleeping child in her lap showed no signs of stirring, so she nodded. "If you don't mind, I'd surely appreciate it. I'd hate to wake him up before I have to." If it came to it she was happy enough to just rest her head back and sleep right here rather than wake him.
