He looks over, just for a second, but it feels better to turn back, to watch the water and candles journeying. A small sound in his throat like a huff, but it's not really mirth despite its note. He clings onto it anyway, the casualness.

"A city," he corrects. A home. "Well- one is. Guess it's kinda cheating, but..."

But that'd be too many candles, a bit too ridiculous.

"The other's for my dad, a guy I knew growing up. I...never thought about doing anything like this for them." There's that sound again, a huff like laughter. "My old man wouldn't like it, no way. He'd call me a sap for it."

Wouldn't he? It's easier to think about, comforting. No matter all the emotions it dredges up in his chest.

"Don't know about the other guy," he goes on. "Never knew what that guy was thinking."

A complete pain. ... ... but knowing him, he wouldn't say anything. It was always easier when he didn't.
