"They really have no idea how many people woulda just talked to 'em willingly. It was a real weird sideways way to go about it, but I figure they wanted to keep us from gangin' up and it was better to control the conversation or somethin'. Still, they coulda just asked."

He shrugs, confused about it all.

"I would pay good money for some of that power protective tech if it was guaranteed to stop some mindfuckery." He can see the benefit in, definitely, even if it was a massive inconvenience for them at the time.
