He smiles. "Yelling the obvious was actually kind of fun. That phrase is what my father said just before he and my brothers and all his people set out for a new continent. He meant we'd be in charge of ourselves instead of being subject to our gods' whims. Of course, it didn't turn out to be that simple, but oh well. And I didn't mean it exactly the way he did, but it will always remain in my mind as a meaningful thing to say."
