"Well, we had funerals," he explains, hands waving some as he does. "But they're small things, people gathering and saying things - not big things like this." ... at least, unless you're his old man.

But, not everyone was. "And the last time I went to any, I was real young. And they were for my parents, so I wasn't in the mood for hanging around. But I mean, other than remembering when they died - I never did anything for them."
