She sat down at the proffered seat, poking a little at her food. "Looks almost like what we had in Russia, or Kazakhstan. Just with a lot more spices."

The food in the places wasn't bland, but she could smell the spices from there.

She pulled a piece from some random bit of what looked like meat, taking a test bite. "I take that back, tastes like back home in Texas."

When was the last time she'd visited her home state; the little time she had off was spent at the Briggs farm. Most of her family on that side had passed on, so there was little chance or reason to visit besides nostalgia.

Her eyes started to water, and she tried to chalk it up to just how spicy the food was.
