"I didn't know there were other worlds for a long, long time. Thousands of years. I'd almost lost hope that things could change... and then I learned about other worlds, and the possibilities were opened up to me."

There was the faintest hint of a smile on his lips as he leaned back a little. "Now I have a plan, and some actual hope at the end of things. No one on my world seems to be able to solve the problems there... but that doesn't mean someone from another world can't."
