She laughs a little. "I think I actually used to be a lot more quiet before I found out about my powers." Which was true. Contrary to her social nature, she had always been a bit of an introvert growing up. And at times she did still have the preference for alone time. But after moving the mansion and meeting her friends there, she'd also learned a lot more about opening up and speaking her mind.

Glancing up at him, she smiles a little. "I'd like to think so too." With the memories she had of her grandfather, she couldn't imagine him rejecting her. But then, she'd seen and heard of some families and friends who used to be close until someone discovered they were a mutant, so it was always difficult to tell.
