"If it were that easy," he says, raising his brow, "People would worship books. Which would be flawed, since they're written by people anyway."

Meaning he agreed, that having information didn't make information understood. Much like he finds himself facing on many days, though right now, with what's been said by Ten-Nank, he can fit that into something like understanding, and accept it. Void technicians are people either trained, taught, or self-motivated to learn whatever, well, sciences were (and his understanding of science as a whole is very, very loose), and that links to the SCA, which is a void-related device, and thus a circle of some kind establishes itself in his head.

Along with a snort, softer than the derisive sort he also indulges. "Yeah, well, that makes two of us not proficient in machines. Thank you for the explanation about the void technicians. And clarifying what the anchor isn't, in a way." Not present for all, not necessary for most, and it provides better context to him, personally. Not context that makes him happy, but something of a frown. The Voidtrecker Express had what, allowed that function? Enabled it? When Anan had made the call, or asked, or was it always there?

"How dangerous is Anchoring, to your knowledge?" Jingyi's assumptions are aligning to far more than we understood at the time. "And what do you mean, when you say the SCA strengthens our tether? I've seen some literal version of it for an individual," he says, thinking of Tidus, and the flirtation with disappearance, with endurance. "And I know it alters somethings to allow us to function on these different worlds, including ones we're not compatible with at all. The tether thing never had a real explanation I was told, aside from it being why the Voidtrecker Express can keep our spirits out of the reincarnation cycle. In terms of how I understand it."

A further frown, eyes dropping to his SCA, staring at the device with evident confliction.

"Where I'm from, that's just about the worst thing you can do to another person."
