It is a curse that when no one else stinks you start to notice you stink. So he's made an effort. And he might be hoping that he gets a full three shoulder pats in the span of two days if he plays his cards right. Living in luxury and being utterly spoiled.

I was meanin' to go back there 'cause they had this books bound in some kinda leathery shit- I think skin from whatever the blubber stuff comes from? -anyway, it had nice sturdy paper an' tabs an' a ledger section an' I wanted to grab one." Not that they have a lot of money to spend and the roster keeps them updated, but he has purchases to keep track of on top of his other information.
