"Some instincts take time to learn how to work around." He shrugs, where
most his are on the predatory end, without the final, killing sort of blow:
he's too aware, attracted to motion, things which are fine given he lives
the life he lives, but would be awkward, in other settings.
Regardless, he lifts his eyes again, to the dampened sounds of the crowd
(mostly inaudible) and the fireworks (like distant whispers).
"No. Not like this. We use them to signal. Single ones, usually. I think
mortals, er..." He trails off, then sighs, rubbing at the back of his neck.
"Mortals probably do, but they make them, where the ones I set off are qi
based. Someone tried to get me to talk about love with fireworks as a
metaphor, but really, that sounds so violent."
