There's something to be said about the way Madoka doesn't even look surprised in the slightest when he tells her that he's older than she thinks. Back home that would have been a baffling thought, but after meeting so many people who are either ancient or just plain older than they seem on the train, it feels kind of normal by now.
The only thing it confirms to her is the fact that Naoya isn't exactly a regular human - no matter what it means that he really is.
