He missed the heavens too sometimes, he missed his friends but he was used to people vanishing and not being around anymore. It had happened ever since he could remember and he had made many friends on the train too.

But Idia was much bigger than Romeo and probably remembered his whole life, so he had memories of much more than a year. That meant he had more things to miss.
