He settles into his seat and picks up the utensils. He has gotten more used to the ones that the train has available over time. He could have been stubborn and just refused to use anything besides a spoon and chopsticks but that wouldn't do him well when they were on worlds when those weren't available. SO he has gotten used to all the eating utensils available.

So he picks up the fork so that he can poke at the food a little as if investigating it.

"Looks good and smells decent. Two good out of three so far."
