Eli is momentarily startled by the red glyphs around him, having not expected the magic to manifest that way. It passes in less than a second, and Eli doesn't feel any different. For a moment, he wonders if maybe it didn't work, until Tidus says something.

Eli walks forward, and suddenly he's outrun Tidus by several meters in just a second. He stops in place and turns around so Tidus can catch up with him. "That's amazing!"
