"... I can more than imagine," Yota said darkly, then added, with a more resigned, accepting half-smile. "One or two good deeds don't make anyone a saint... but fine, you're right, there are definitely worse people out there, just don't be so quick to make your mind up about people, miss. Don't want you to be too shocked."
Yota had left someone behind on a hot day, in the middle of a desert. Sure, they got in the way of his plans and he left them on road to follow, but they were stranded with nothing but sand for miles, on both sides of the road. It was never this hot, but he did leave, stranded behind him, three children: one rabbit, one polar bear, and one dog. That day was on his mind the entire time he was making that trek through that scorching hot land.
