Leia had been feeling an all too familiar sense of dread in the Force recently. Something was shifting, and not in a way that meant anything good, and the additional chaos and distortions were symptoms of it. When she finally managed to settle into sleep, it was light, and fairly restless.
Then, abruptly, she jolted awake to a stab of immediate, sharp warning through the Force. With greater speed and strength and one would likely expect, she caught the wrist of the man who'd been standing over her with a knife, poised to strike. In one smooth motion, she was on her feet, twisting the man's arm behind his back and squeezing his wrist in such a way that he was forced to drop the blade.
It was only then that she blinked out of the Force-induced state of hyper-focus and into full consciousness to take in the chaos around them. Well, kriff... She'd been waiting for the other boot to drop and this was about as dropped as it got. She tried to get a better grip on her struggling would-be assailant while looking around for something that could be used to knock him out or tie him up. Then once he was taken care of, she'd be able able to do her part to try and restore some semblance of order.
She was suddenly very glad she'd brought her lightsaber, though hopefully she wouldn't need to use it.
