Luckily the controls proved fairly easy to operate, and they managed to activate the device with a minimum of trouble (which wasn't saying a whole lot just then, but he'd take what he could get). Lea wasn't sure what exactly would happen next, but he couldn't have anticipated what did.

For a moment everything was light and noise and chaos, then... a loud crack sounded and Lea was thrown up into the air and back. He tried to twist himself into a position where he could land relatively safely, but this was no controlled flight like in Neverland. At the moment he was a projectile, and had to work with that. He just hoped the device did what it was supposed to do.
