Valdana's eyes have gone wide again and she stares from their hands to Koumyou's face and back. She tugs again, not that it has any more effect this time--

And then her attention is arrested by the rising column of electricity. "What? No!" She snatches her hand back and scrambles-- well, there's nowhere really to scramble, with Koumyou to one side of her, the badly malfunctioning baton to the other, and worktables hemming her in otherwise.

She decides to take her chances with the man, charging him with her hands up. "Get out of my way!"
