Jin Ling, finding the conversation to be lacking, continues to focus on his newfound task-- grooming his so-called friend and ally. It's certainly an experience and the little squeaks in between helps him learn a bit better. While Jin Ling is the kind of person that will make his presence known, he is also the type to be focused on any task he's given.

At the moment, he's just going to go along with it. For whatever reason, this Gusu Lan is very calm, soothing almost puts him in a strangely peaceful mood. Eventually, he's going to finish whatever grooming he can for Jingyi and potentially, wander elsewhere in Gusu Lan.
