Linking to Koumyou isn't only linking to Koumyou. He doesn't have multiple iterations of himself knocking around in his head, but his focus is weird. Genuinely. It's equal parts scattered and focused, and all running in multiple places at once; bonafide multi-tasking. Koumyou's focus is locked onto the chant still going on on the surface of his thoughts, locked onto that one tendril of sutra and every nuance of its grip on the train, locked onto--

Without having to think the thought, that 'something else' is labeled the Maten sutra. Not even here, but still irreversibly a part of him.
He's not some kind of super genius or anything, but he does regularly run a metric shit-ton of sutra tendrils in independent movement to one another and the environment while he does other things, including physical combat, and speaking. And magic.
It could be uncomfortable to stay linked to him for too long, but it's definitely not a connection that will be slipping out of Koumyou's grip on accident.
