He looked carefully at the larger map, then at the smaller, hand-drawn one, then back again, just to be sure before carefully marking the first farmstead's location on the smaller map. He repeated the process for the second one. Then the third.
...Was his silence while working as awkward for the young man as it seemed to him? He'd never really been good at small talk, but he supposed he should probably at least make an effort. "So... is it always like this?", he asked. "You know, before a mission really gets going." At least he assumed it hadn't really gotten going yet; from what he'd been told, they sounded like they could get pretty hectic. Not to mention dangerous.
