At least with a magical ring there was nothing really for Senku to carry, because it might surprise Yondu that he misread his and Gen's relationship. It didn't really matter, either way, he was very fond of Gen and that was all that seemed to matter in the end.
"We might have to walk awhile, I can tell you what I know." Senku offered. It was probably silly that he had the ring on, but also had a backpack. He just liked to keep some things on him in case Gen took the ring, but ultimately, he had it probably close to 80% of the time.
"I'll be sure to read them. On board we have nothing but time anyway." It wouldn't take long for him to read them and he'd just put them back.
"Not a bad idea." Senku said as they walked. "If we find out there's something we need specifically, it might be easier to get someone to bring it, if not, maybe they could meet us partway or something?"
