It's good that he armored up that coat or the damage would have been worse, and he uses the shielding from the gauntlet to deflect as much as he can. Point is, no broken bones yet. The air's still in his lungs. And as long as Yondu has a breath in him, he can still fight.

For that brief instant Vegeta will find respite from the belligerent annoyance. As soon as he can start bein' a little turd again though, Yondu's on it, the arrow zipping around, burning hot trails on the inside, catching and tearing and searing fluffy ape hair and igniting lining.

He starts back up the hill, trying to find another place with decent cover.
