Rezo doesn’t really feel the force of the staring so much as the long pause before Wash deigns to respond. In response, Rezo suppresses a sigh in favor of an acknowledging hum.
“You are full of surprises,” he remarks.
Well, at any rate. While he has been distracted by the cat, Rezo’s thoughts return to a few moments ago, and the brief rejection that had been spit out.
“Are you sure you don’t require healing? There’s little to gain by refusing treatment, especially when more of those creatures are in the area.”
(He hasn’t quite picked up on Wash’s phobia yet- Rezo’s current assumption is that his reluctance is a mixture of playing-tough-guy and a distaste for Rezo himself.)
