Tidus is watching, trying to peer into Roland's mind by the actions he takes - looks, gestures, whatever - while he plays the part of observer to his mapping. He's only half-paying attention between the two, Roland's map not as clear to him from the angle.
It doesn't matter. The man doesn't take long, motioning to and from the two as he speaks up, then leading their gaze to a world larger than any paper or device. Tidus sees the moving dots, and the mess of the landscape before them that brings an urgency to get involved. He knocks Roland lightly with a hand to his arm, suggests, "One more ride" as a means of getting there quicker, and only a small second allowed for Roland to decline.
Otherwise, Gibbs will be of similar mind, and their quick travel can be brought back again. One more time won't hurt, though they'll want to take a break from it after. But Tidus isn't concerned; between the three (or four) of them, whatever they meet, they'll be ready for.
