With Darth Jadus it had been the pressure and the height. Same with Marr. And Malgus. And any handful of other allies that he was supposed to either bow down to or stand beside. Standing next to them was to feel one's own inadequacies in more ways than one.

Of course Marr was dead. Jadus was gone. And Malgus he had penciled in for a swift execution sometime soon.

The feeling of being small next to another Chiss though, that was a feeling he hadn't really felt for a long time now. And he was kind of glad for it. He probably already looked defective enough without having to stand next to more appropriately sized members of his species.

"Chiss in your era aren't all as tall as him, are they? If they are, I'm going to have to start wondering what the hell they're feeding people in the Ascendancy in the modern age."

That was a joke.
