Rezo ducks his head. It would be one thing if he’d just forgotten about her magic, but he is also a magic user- he has a reputation as a Great Sage for God’s sake- and could have tried something similar himself if he hadn’t been so focused on the idea that they needed to force their way free.
In a way, it is a very good reminder of the perils of rigid thinking and failing to look at your problems from a different angle etcetera but that does not mean he isn’t feeling rather chagrined about the whole thing.
