adregem: (it's nothing personal.)

Brute force versus brute force might end up in a war of attrition, but Roland and Tidus were stubborn enough to keep at it till the blob was reduced to nothing. So he follows Tidus's lead on the onset, his sword aglow with pent-up energy from trying to charge into a better attack. When Tidus starts getting pulled into the void blob's range of motion, he leaps high into the air with gathered momentum and stabs the offending limb straight into the ground.

It's enough downward force to cut it in half, and he uses the same position to pivot towards its bottom half, slicing straight into monstrous flesh. It does roar in some semblance of pain - or discomfort, he can't really tell - and retaliates by showing even more of its mutated arms and claws. Two spurt from where Roland cuts and it shifts its weight like a globe of jelly walking and rolling to gain speed.

Why is it so surprisingly agile for what it looks like? Roland frowns, determination set on his brow.

"Slow it down as much as you can! Give it your all! I'll try and blast it away in one go!"

His pistol appears in his hand and he takes a solid step back, aiming straight at the lumbering beast ready to charge at them with increasing strength. If Roland can charge up long enough, he might be able to disperse its body into smaller chunks for them to deal with.
