Even without eyesight, Rezo can tell that Weirwich is in disarray. The sound of gunfire isn’t quite like anything he’s ever heard- too rapid to be anything like the guns from his old world- but he doesn’t need to be familiar to recognize the lethality of it.
While he’s making his way through the city streets, a searcher beast and Rezo find one another. Biometal claws scrape the asphalt and the rings on Rezo’s staff rattle as he dives away from its pounce, glowing magic gathering in his palm. Rezo slams his hand onto the ground with a cry of “Dug Haut!” and a path of spikes burst out of the ground towards the beast, one of them piercing its shoulder. The beast stumbles to the ground, injured, but still moving- maybe give Rezo a hand?
When Weirwich proper is reached, Rezo may also be found tending to the wounded. He’s more than capable of applying first aid, so it’s easy to spot him bandaging wounds, passing out medication, etc. usually while making conversation with whoever he’s tending to.
Starbury
After the transgates are up and running, Rezo spends some time getting involved in the mundane business of transporting supplies, which in practice means packing a lot of crates, carrying them through the transgate, and dropping them off with a small group of organizers in Starbury who are handing out food and other supplies about twice as fast as they’re being brought in. Which makes it especially unfortunate that Rezo has to move at a slow pace…
Later, Rezo will stop by the facility, where he can be found sorting through paperwork and leaving it in neat piles. Occasionally he even stops to scribble down a few notes to leave in the piles, but so far they’re all things like ‘Winter data on local plankton species’ or ‘Data related to plankton size’ or, well… You get the idea, essentially just summarizing notes to keep anyone else from wasting their time reading through useless info. As he works, Rezo has a slight frown on his face that might be from frustration or simply concentration.
Medborough
Rezo comes to Medborough relatively late, by which point there’s probably been quite a few voidtreckers fending off the enemy already. While Rezo is able and willing to fight, at this point he thinks a more helpful contribution will be shoring up defenses. Some of this involves erecting walls, reinforcing pre-existing structures, that sort of thing- and some of this involves setting up traps, so you may need to watch your step lest you hear a priest sharply yelling at you “Don’t step there!”
