Kaiba waits with a tense expression. His fingertips crackle with more electricity if he needs to fight, but nothing comes charging at him.

Except Esteban, who he catches with a soft 'oof', clinging to him in relief (and out of pure exhaustion). He manages to stay on his feet as his friend comes to his senses, then flops to the ground.

Naturally, Kaiba crouches next to him with a soft chuckle.

"I usually know what I'm doing. But...you kept me alive through it. Are you all right?"

He offers a hand to haul him up.
