It did not occur to him, as she just said that she has been here long, that she wouldn't have encountered him, but it is possible. Hades does have the advantage of sight and can avoid, if he wishes, those he deems might be upset by his presence. Still, it is not like Hythlodaeus to deceive, even with silence.
